This work of art is about Fitterer’s personal intuition and disappointment in reflection of happenings in 2020. Through the discovery and distinction between overt professionalism and artistic freedom, Fitterer explores what the boundaries are – if any – between personal expression and societal expectations as a whole person. Her deconstructed quilt motif represents a break from traditional structure to deliver a relatable and direct message combating those imposing their principles onto her.
